Last weekend, as well as attending our training camp, GB Maxis’ F50+ player, OLIVIA MAURY, was also busy at her local court supporting the Cambridgeshire Basketball Association (CBA) who held their first ever FIBA Her World Her Rules event in the county, as part of FIBA’s ongoing campaign to increase women and girls participation in basketball.
Over 30 girls attended the session, giving local coaches and players a chance to teach them new skills and show them how much fun the sport can be. Olivia got involved in the skills and drills, and for the young girls aspiring to develop further in the sport, the presence of a GB level player was not only exciting but demonstrated both performance and longevity offered to females playing basketball.
Well done to the CBA, we wish you every continued success and hope you will host even more HWHR in the future.
