Group Draws Announced for the FIMBA European Maxibasketball Championship
The first round group draw for the FIMBA European Maxibasketball Championship took place today at FIMBA HQ in Argentina, confirming the path ahead for our ten GB Maxibasketball teams competing across the men’s and women’s age categories.
Fielding ten teams across the 35+ to 60+ age groups is a significant achievement and a clear reflection of the growth and depth of masters basketball within Great Britain. Each squad now knows exactly who stands between them and progression to the next round, and the draws have produced a mix of familiar rivals and new challenges.

With the group stages now confirmed, our squads enter the final stretch of preparation. Every player, coach and member of staff across all ten teams has worked hard to reach this point, and we are immensely proud to see GB Maxibasketball represented so strongly on the European stage.
We look forward to cheering on all ten teams as they take to the court — wishing every squad the very best of luck!
