Join Our Team — Staff Recruitment for FIBA Masters Open 2027

Fresh from two historic bronze medals at the FIBA European Championships in Athens and a credible 5th placing at the FIBA Masters Open in Corinth-Loutraki, GB Maxibasketball is now building its support team for the next major target on the international calendar: the FIBA Masters Open 2027 in Munich.

We’re looking for experienced, committed individuals to support our national squads through training camps and at international competition, in the following roles:

  • Coaches — Level 2 qualified or above
  • Sports Therapists / Physiotherapists — relevant professional qualification required
  • Strength & Conditioning Coaches — relevant professional qualification required
  • Team Managers

Growing squads, growing ambition

Player demand across the programme continues to grow, with teams being prepared across the 35+ to 60+ age categories, for both men and women.  For the first time in our history, we are also recruiting for GB Maxibasketball 3×3, fielding a men’s and women’s team in the 40+ category — a exciting new discipline for the programme, and one riding a wave of popularity thanks to its current billing at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.  Our 35+ teams will continue to feature in selected international masters competitions.

A voluntary, self-funded programme — built on integrity and community

As with all roles across GB Maxibasketball, these positions are voluntary. GB Maxibasketball is a self-funded programme, recognised by Basketball England as part of the National Talent Pathway and has worked with all home nation governing bodies.  We are clear and honest on what we offer and what staff gain in return is the honour of representing Great Britain on the international stage, alongside a genuine sense of camaraderie within our squads — something our staff and players alike describe as an experience not to be missed.
