We are excited to begin the countdown to the start of the all new Team GB Maxibasketball (GB Maxis) performance programme next weekend in Sheffield! April! We have been overwhelmed with the response from players and coaches wanting to be involved, and hence to ensure a Covid-safe environment, a restricted number of places have been offered to male and female players at our forthcoming April camps. So, you’ve got your boots and training kit, what can you expect? GB Maxis have in place a programme of regular central venue sessions for men and women aged 35+ years upwards, to include training and preparatory competition. Camps are led by national and international level experienced coaches, with a few development coaches being mentored. All camps have sports science and medicine support. We do not exclude anyone, but being part of the Basketball Talent Pathway in England, the GB Maxis programme does aim to prepare the strongest teams it can to represent Great Britain in future European and World Maxibasketball Championships. If that’s something that really motivates you, and you want to play alongside some of the best players of your era, then feel free to contact us at info@gbmaxibasketball.co.uk and we’ll let you know how to get involved after the initial April camps
