GB Maxibasketball Training
The 2024/25 national training programme will kick off the weekend of 14 & 15 September 2024 in Nottingham for women, and 21 & 22 September 2024 for men. Further open sessions will be held in October 2023, after which 15-player strong training squads will be identified and invited to the December 2024 sessions. Final teams of 12 players in the age categories from 35+ to 60+ (male and female) will be selected in January 2025 to represent Great Britain in the World Maxibasketball Championships 2025 in Ticino, Switzerland.
The 2025/26 programme dates are also available ahead of the European Maxibasketball Championship 2026, in Athens, Greece. Check out the Events Calendar below and use the ‘Load More’ button for further details and please use the Contact Us form for any inquiries.
Through the GB Maxibasketball programme players and coaches will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of international competitions organised by the International Masters Games Association (IMGA) and by the International Federation of Maxibasketball.
The IMGA organises the World Masters Games endorsed and recognised by the International Olympic and Paralympic Committees. This is a 10-day long festival of sport that brings together athletes from around the world, to enjoy different sports and meet like-minded people in vibrant city destinations.
