GB Maxibasketball Training
The 2023/24 national training programme kicked off the weekend of 30 September & 1 October 2023 in Nottingham. Open training sessions will run until November 2023, after which training squads of between 16-20 will be identified. Final teams of 12 players in the age categories 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+ and 55+ (male and female) will be selected in January 2024 to represent Great Britain in the European Maxibasketball Championships 2024 in Pesaro, Italy.
The 2024/25 provisional programme dates are also available ahead of the World Maxibasketball Championship 2025, in Switzerland. Check out the Events Calendar below and use the ‘Load More’ button for further details and please use the Contact Us form for any inquiries.
Through the GB Maxibasketball programme players and coaches will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of international competitions organised by the International Masters Games Association (IMGA) and by the International Federation of Maxibasketball.
The IMGA organises the World Masters Games endorsed and recognised by the International Olympic and Paralympic Committees. This is a 10-day long festival of sport that brings together athletes from around the world, to enjoy different sports and meet like-minded people in vibrant city destinations.
