In an interview with Basketball England, Coach Jesse Sazant was ‘happy and excited’ to have the GB Maxibasketball Men in camp last weekend, for the first time since its England Talent Programme recognition. The GB Maxis were endorsed and recognised as having met England Talent Programme (ETP) standards of delivery last year.

The men’s players from the programme got together last weekend for the first time since that endorsement, with principal coordinator Sadie Mason welcoming to 75 players and staff, while the men’s programme lead Sazant set out the aims and expectations.

The camp operated under strict Covid-safe guidelines (test, test and test again!) to ensure everyone’s safety, which enabled everyone to be on court and confident that their health was not at risk. With an overwhelmingly positive response from players, the continued strong endorsement within the Talent Pathway in England, and support from our basketball governing bodies, the GB Maxibasketball programme is going from strength to strength.

You can read the full report on the GB Maxis’ return to camp on the Basketball England website and in the meantime you can view the highlight reel from last weekend’s camp in our video gallery or on You Tube.
