With just two more training camps before to go before the final selection camp in November, we interviewed a few members of the Team GB Maxis’ women’s programme to capture their thoughts on the opportunity to return to international level basketball, and their preparation for the FIMBA European Maxibasketball Championships 2022, in Malaga.
From a coaching perspective it was good to see some new faces, and to observe significant improvements in players physical and technical ability, as well as the on-court chemistry starting to happen. It was also encouraging to see so many of our athletes putting in the work away from camp to reap the benefits.
We are taking a break for the summer, so the women will next meet on Sun 5 September in Brighton. Looking forward to it already! In the meantime, you can view the interview with several former international players and coaches here, as we take another step closer to Malaga.
