This weekend saw the second GB Maxis open training session for men at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena.  Among the plethora of new faces, we were delighted to welcome local lad and former international, 6’8 power forward David ‘Tin Tin’ Watts, whose formidable perimetre shooting was at times unstoppable.  Also in the line up was current Welsh senior player, James Dawe – another shooting force to be reckoned with!
Unable to make camp #1 in Manchester, we welcomed back point guard Daniel Graves from Cardiff, Ewan Kassir (GB Maxis Malaga 45+), Keith Pringle (50+ Malaga) and ex-internationals Iain ‘Bull’ Maclean (50+ captain in Malaga) and 6’8 centre Stuart Glass from Paisley, Scotland amongst others.
Returning for their second camp, it was great to see the integration of participants that represented FIMBA GB out in Malaga, including Nigel Fisher, Andy Rowlands, Andrew England, Andre Sandiford and Team Manager Grace Jacca. All warmly welcomed to the programme.  As ever, thanks go to our super team of coaches, and our multi-tasking performance support team Mark Dayson and Connor Flynn for looking after the players. Overall an enjoyable and successful training weekend! Next up, it’s GB Maxis’ ladies camp 2… just six days away! 😊🏀🇬🇧
