We are delighted to announce the GB Women’s 40+ squad that will be flying out to Argentina in August for the World Maxibasketball Championship FIMBA – Mar Del Plata 2023. As with all our teams, these women are aiming to be on the medal podium and – led by Head Coach CJ LEE and Assistant Coaches CAROLINE CHARLES (London Lions Youngbloods) and experienced masters basketball coach DAVID MASON (Sussex).

Known as ‘GRACE WITH PACE’, our GB Women’s 50+ team will be led by Head Coach RICHARD PARKER (Birmingham) and Assistant Coach ANITA CURTIS (Northampton). Coach Jimmy ‘Jimspshot’ Smith is also appointed to assist with the team’s preparation for the World Championship 2023, but unfortunately is unable to accompany the team to Mar del Plata. GB Maxis Team Manager is GRACE JACCA, a very experienced operator used to volunteering her management services with Olympic teams.
