The GB Maxis M50+ team have been crowned Dublin Masters 2024 Champions 
defeating DM Ballers 27-20 earlier today at the Oblates Hall, in Dublin. Playing in honour of former teammate Keith Kelly (RIP), our 50+ went undefeated in their games on Saturday and Sunday. Shooting guard, Michael Embaye named MVP with an outstanding 19 points in the final. Congratulations to Head Coach Mark Poynton, Asst. Coach Emo Westerby and the GB Maxis 50+ team. You’ve done Keith proud!Today the GB Maxis M55+ team competed in the one-day Midland Masters 2024 tournament at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena. Kicking off at 9.15am, the guys had a convincing win over FIMBA GB 55s (53-21), and went on to take their second game 40-25. Coached by Mohammed Jalloh, GB 55s secured the championship with a superb final win against London Eagles 42-23. Well done guys!
Meanwhile, our GB M45s travelled further up the UK to train at the Playsport Arena, home of professional basketball outfit Caledonia Gladiators OSC in East Kilbride. Head coach Stephen Barnes put the guys through their paces, and their training weekend included games against Sony Centre Falkirk Fury ahead of competing at the Santander Masters Basket Tournament in two weeks time.
All teams will be in action in just over one months’ time at the FIMBA Pesaro 24 European Championship. The countdown and preparation continues…
