Our GB Maxibasketball Women’s combined squad training weekend (15 & 16 March) saw us welcome several new players into camp, as well as eight physiotherapy undergraduates from our community partner, the University of Greenwich who helped run the physical testing protocols with our players .

A fantastic weekend, great team work and commitment to success on all levels. Thank you to our coaches, Team Managers and the medical team for their support and encouragement over the weekend. A special shout out to Gail White (below) for supporting both our mens and women’s camps this month, and a huge thanks to Dr. Mark Dayson and the team of physiotherapy students from the University of Greenwich who helped out for both days of camp in support of our testing program.

The GB Maxis Men’s combined training camp took place on the 8th & 9th March at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena, which has become the recognised ‘home’ of our GB-Maxi programme. Marking just over 100 days to go before the FIMBA Ticino 2025 World Maxibasketball Championship, our guys were keen to get back to work. Despite a few squad members missing due to other commitments, all teams made the most of the time available.
We are also pleased to see our men’s programme lead, Jesse Sazant, taking the reins and stepping up as Head Coach to lead the M45+ squad into the World Championship (Daniel Manning having stepping down due to other priorities).

We look forward to seeing all our teams in action this summer.
Good to see progress being made as the clock ticks down to FIMBA Ticino 2025.
