GB Maxibasketball Training
The 2025/26 national training programme will begin the weekend of 13 & 14 September 2025 in Nottingham for women, and 20 & 21 September 2025 for men. Further open sessions will be held in October 2025, after which final teams of 12 players maximum per age category (and up to 3 reserves) will be selected and announced  to represent Great Britain in the European Maxibasketball Championships 2026 in Athens, Greece. This event will take place from 26 June to 5 July 2026.
The 2026/27 programme dates are also available ahead of the World Maxibasketball Championship 2027, in Brazil. Check out the Events Calendar below and use the ‘Load More’ button for further details and please use the Contact Us form for any inquiries.
Through the GB Maxibasketball programme players and coaches will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of international competitions organised by the International Masters Games Association (IMGA) and by the International Federation of Maxibasketball.
The IMGA organises the World Masters Games endorsed and recognised by the International Olympic and Paralympic Committees. This is a 10-day long festival of sport that brings together athletes from around the world, to enjoy different sports and meet like-minded people in vibrant city destinations.
