We are delighted to announce the appointment of DAVID MASON, as GB Maxis Womens 45+ Assistant Coach!
David has been with the GB Maxibasketball programme since its inception in 2017/18, and was GB Maxis W50+ Head Coach when they became the first ever medal-winning British maxibasketball team at the FIMBA World Championships 2019, in Helsinki under his leadership.
David now joins our Women’s 45+ having formed a successful partnership co-coaching with the legendary Jimmy Jumpshot Smith at the Murcia International Masters Basketball tournament (MAMBAsket5) in Cartagena last December, where under their combined leadership the GB Maxis W45+/50+ team returned from Murcia with a silver medal.
Coach Mason is well known within the programme for his diligent game analysis skills and says he is very much looking forward to working with a Coach Smith as they prepare the Maxis W45+ team for Malaga. So congratulations on your appointment, and we wish you, Coach Smith and the GB Maxis W45+ squad all the very best in Malaga.
